YOUNG WRITERS WORKSHOP
This workshop is designed to give students of all ages a chance to be creative and gain knowledge of how a picture book is written.
Length: 50 minutes
Fee: $500 for two workshops (same day)
The Young Writers workshop consists of:
- A talk about the process of writing a picture book, including the importance of doing research and how to get ideas from your family history.
- Exercises that help students come up with story ideas.
- A four-panel display highlighting the steps involved in writing and illustrating a picture book. I show original manuscripts, thumbnail sketches, and other items used in creating my books.
